For years, we’ve seen what happens when rural organizing, local leadership, and year-round Democratic infrastructure are treated as an afterthought. Too many communities have been left without the support, connections, or resources needed to compete and over time, that absence has reshaped the political landscape we see today. If we want a different future for Indiana, we have to build it intentionally.
Strong campaigns don’t suddenly appear a few months before Election Day. They grow from relationships, trust, and people who have been showing up for their communities long before anyone files to run. When we invest in that kind of foundation, especially in rural and small-town Indiana, we’re doing more than supporting a single race. We’re building long-term capacity: communities that stay engaged, candidates who are prepared, and networks strong enough to endure from one cycle to the next.
We’re also creating opportunities for students across Indiana that many would never otherwise have access to. An investment today helps support candidates across the finish line while bringing more young people into organizing, volunteering, and civic engagement. But this goes beyond one campaign or one election year. These students are our next generation of organizers, advocates, and leaders — people who will carry this work forward and help create lasting, multigenerational change across Indiana.
This is about planting seeds: growing new leaders, strengthening local networks, and building the kind of infrastructure that lasts beyond any single election cycle.
